Phillip is like the Pool Whisperer. He saved my 50+ y.o. pool in Curtis Park from disaster several times. After buying my house, he did a great analysis of what was wrong, communicating clearly and presenting multiple realistic options to bring the green sludge-filled pool back to clear blue health. He's also been great in helping me understand the current state of plumbing, for example, and what we'll need to do in the short and mid-term to keep it in top shape.
I also hired Phillip to do weekly pool service. He's been great about checking in when there are issues and keeping the pool well balanced.
Phillip does quality work and has an excellent sense of customer service. I find his prices to be reasonable, as well. It's been a pleasure working with him and would highly recommend him.

I only have great things to say about Phil. He came out on short notice and repaired my equipment the next day. He is great for repairs and weekly service on the pool. He is very affordable and honest. This is a great company to have service or repair your pool. Enjoy!

Phil came to my home today and gave me any in-depth lesson on how to use and maintain my hot tub. I am in my 70s and the little house that I purchased has a hot tub. I do not know the first thing about maintaining a hot tub.
He was very professional, very informative, and did many extra little things that I'm sure he did not have to do or were required of his service to help me. He drained my hot tub and cleaned it, and serviced it totally.
I have contracted with him to come on a weekly basis to keep up the chemicals and to check it. I am totally satisfied and would highly recommend this friendly and professional service to all.

Phill responded quickly and offered us some very good advice regarding our pump failures. We took his advice and worked out an acceptable compromise with the builder. However, we would have gladly paid for his services which seemed very reasonably priced. That was in September 2016.
Recently, our sweep failed and once again Phill was ready to help us figure out the best course of action; which he did.
I highly recommend Phill based on his knowledge, honesty and communication skills.
While it's certainly easy to call one of the big guys for a repair, it's doubtful you'll receive the same personalized service or attention to detail that you will with A+.

Had heard about this company through a friend, and called about a leakage issue. From pictures we had taken, he was able to diagnose over the phone and immediately reassured us that it was an easy and inexpensive fix. Really? Not sure I have ever before heard that from a repairman. Better yet, he spoke the truth. After letting me know that the part had been ordered, he followed up again the next week, letting me know it had come in, and finding a good time to make the repair. Hot tub now filled once again, and as promised, an inexpensive fix. Yayyy!! Others could have easily told me differently and I would have gone along, just to get my hot tub filled and working again. Honest, cool guy with great communication skills; propelled me to make my first Yelp review!

I had an issue with my pool cleaner's wall fitting. Phil was super responsive and resolved the problem within 24 hours. Overall, in my experience he was honest, fair, and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.

I had an issue with my in-ground spa heating. I called my normal pool guy who made an appt to come out. It appeared as if a rodent had been living inside my heater and might have been the reason the heater wasn't working. After about 30 mins he gave up saying he could fix the issue and wasn't comfortable working on the issue anymore (smell of gas from the heater not igniting)
So I turned to Yelp and found Phillip at A+ Pool & Spa. He was eager to help and made an appt w me to come out the next day. (Even offered same day service, but I wasn't able to get home until late and wanted to be there). He showed up on time and was quickly able to diagnose the issue. It was a faulty igniter (don't recall exact part) but he was detailed in explaining to me my options. I chose to replace the part which he said he could locate and returned the next day to install. He also looked at my whole pool setup explaining little tips and tricks to make my system more efficient and safe. Never rushed and easy to talk to. Glad to have the spa working and I found the cost of part and labor to be fair. I'd definitely not hesitate to use Phillip again and he will be my first call if I ever have a pool/spa issue again.

We have used this pool service for over a year now. We were new pool owners when we began using this pool service. Phillip has shown up every week, leaves us with a communication report telling us what work was performed and provides us with any suggestions or advice that we may need to be aware of concerning pool maintenance. The price is reasonable and he has always been professional in his business dealings. I would highly recommend this pool service.
